The Veterans Access Act (H.R. 740) poses a serious threat to the well-being of our nation's veterans by dismantling the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). The VHA is a crucial integrated healthcare system serving over 9.1 million veterans and employing nearly 450,000 healthcare professionals and support staff. This legislation would limit veterans' choices, decrease coverage, reduce access to care, and divert federal funds away from the VHA into the private sector, disproportionately impacting rural veterans. As a constituent deeply concerned about the welfare of our brave service members, I urge you to oppose H.R. 740 and protect the VHA's ability to provide comprehensive, quality healthcare to those who have sacrificed for our country.
