An open letter to the U.S. House of Representatives
Honor ALL Who Serve

If you believe in “do unto others,” then this one’s pretty simple.
Earlier this week, Reuters broke the news: transgender members of the U.S. Air Force with 15–18 years of service are being forced out. They’re told: quit or be fired. No early retirement. No benefits. Just gone.
Think about that. Fifteen years of your life knowing you could be sent into harm’s way. Missing birthdays, holidays, and milestones with family and friends. Putting everything on hold to serve your country with honor. And then, when you’re just a few years from retirement, they toss you aside like you never mattered.
Here’s the thing: when you’re in uniform, you don’t care who the person next to you loves, what religion they follow, or where their parents came from. You care about whether they can do the job and whether they’ll have your back when everything goes sideways. I’ve heard you say that exact thing on the House floor.
So I have to ask, do you stand by your words? Will you stand up for all veterans? Or only the ones whose private lives you personally approve of?
