An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Reject the Interstate Obscenities Definitions Act!

7 so far! Help us get to 10 signers!

Representatives, I urge you to soundly reject the Interstate Obscenities Definition Act. Is is an unconstitutional piece of legislation that will end up hurting many more innocent people than it will put away perpetrators of violent and heinous crimes. This overreach will effectively criminalize queer and gender non-conforming individuals for simply existing as themselves. More women will be endangered by making "obscenity" illegal by removing protections they would've otherwise had if this bill didn't pass. We, your constituents, will NOT stay silent about this blatant act of oppression and censorship. We will not simply let such an egregious overstep of personal rights granted to us by the First Amendment be trampled on. It is NOT and SHOULD NEVER BE up to the government to decide what works of fiction, art, and innocuous publishings should and should not exist. I urge you, esteemed representatives, to do the right thing and stand with the people you represent!
