An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Absolutely Not – Taxing Scholarships Is Unacceptable

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

I am writing to express my strong opposition to any proposal that would tax scholarships. This is an outrageous and unacceptable burden on students who have worked hard to earn these opportunities. Scholarships are meant to ease the financial strain of higher education, not become another source of government revenue. If we’re looking for ways to balance the budget, perhaps we should start by examining the salaries, benefits, and expenses of Congress, the White House, and the Pentagon. Instead of making it harder for students to afford college, let’s focus on responsible spending and policies that actually support the next generation. I urge you to reject this harmful idea and prioritize real solutions that invest in education and the future of our country.
