Climate Change Kills: Restore NIH Research Funding Now

Trump’s administration has cut vital NIH funding for research on how climate change harms public health (ProPublica, March 2025). These cuts will worsen the health crises Americans already face from extreme heat, flooding, and disease (CDC, 2023). Vulnerable groups—seniors, children, low-income families—will suffer the most.
Experts agree this is dangerous. The American Public Health Association warns that climate change is fueling hospitalizations and deaths nationwide (APHA, 2023). The World Health Organization calls climate change the greatest health threat of the century (WHO, 2022). Yet, Trump’s actions silence science and put American lives at risk.
I urge you to reject these cuts, restore full funding, and speak out against this reckless attack on public health.
