Greetings. I am a voting constituent in rural west Texas.
Finally. After several days of sour grapes, denigration of America, and generalized whinging from your felonious candidate for president, finally he sends some congratulations on a job very well done in achieving release of America citizens (and others) from wrongful Russian imprisonment.
“I’d like to congratulate Vladimir Putin for having made yet another great deal.”
Huh?
In what world does a candidate for the office of president in America denigrate the government he wants to lead in favor of praise for an authoritarian leader who kidnaps people randomly to use as political poker chips?
To DJT it’s not about getting these folks back to their families and home countries. It’s about what he perceives to be a good deal. And a deal is never good unless he’s the one who does it.
But talk is not a deal. And that’s all he did on this issue. All he does on most issues. Talk.
And when confronted with a monumental diplomatic feat that the world at large celebrated, he promptly dissed everyone involved. Including his own country.
There are few words left to object to such a person even being considered for our President. So I leave it to someone who knows him very well, and no doubt speaks for most of America.
