ISRAEL & AIPAC'S LEAKED PLANS PROVE WHAT WE ALL KNOW - STOP THE GENOCIDE NOW

To the staffer reading this, I am begging you to give this letter to my representative to read in its entirety - better yet, make copies and litter the halls of Capitol Hill. If this letter finds one of the brave staffers who have been advocating for my voice to be heard, I want you to know I am so grateful for you. As discouraging as its been to know those with power on Capitol Hill don't care what the American people have to say, I know there are those, like you, who do. You give me hope that we can still effect change in this system. To my government: According to AIPAC, "Israel is not blocking the delivery of aid to Gaza" and "reports that people are starving in Gaza are false.” Recent talking points given to my government also include "Why is President Biden dictating to Israel how to fight this war?” while also demanding more of my tax dollars to the tune of $14 billion for their genocidal "war". AIPAC has also directed you to support the abolishment of the largest humanitarian organization capable of effectively distributing aid, UNRWA. Why does this sound like what Israel's leaked Ministry of Intelligence "concept" paper dated 10/13 that outlines the plan to forcibly displace all of Gaza's population to Rafah in tent cities, take any means necessary to convince Palestinians they have no hope to return, and that this would be done under the cover of humanitarian concerns that required the buy-in and assistance from the U.S. That "concept paper" was confirmed by Israel as authentic shortly after it was leaked in Israeli news outlet Mekomit. I am appalled that my country is taking policy direction from a foreign government. It's been clear this entire time, but each subsequent leak of information further confirms what we've all seen. We got confirmation in December from brave interns on Capitol Hill that you've been intentionally ignoring constituents demanding a ceasefire and/or that your own staff has been directed to give you misinformation about how many of us are contacting your office and what our messages have been. The U.S. government is supposed to work FOR the American people, NOT a foreign government's interests. I demand that you:  - Call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire - Hold Israel accountable for their violations of the Genocide Convention and all other international laws by any means necessary - Secure the immediate release and safety of all Palestinians who have been abducted and held captive by Israel, including those whose indefinite detention began prior to 10/7 - Permanently end all monetary, diplomatic, and military aid given to Israel and enforce Leahy Law - Reallocate all funds given to Israel and commit additional resources for ongoing humanitarian relief for Palestinians starting with immediately resuming funding of UNRWA - Vote no on H.R. 7521
