Concerned Over Job Losses and Economic Mismanagement

I am writing as a concerned constituent regarding the alarming state of the U.S. economy, as reflected in the most recent jobs reports for October and November 2025.
In October, the United States lost more than 100,000 jobs, a stunning reversal for what had previously been a growing labor market. November showed only a meager gain of approximately 60,000 jobs, far below what is needed to keep up with population growth or maintain economic stability. These figures signal a clear slowdown in hiring and rising uncertainty for American workers and families.
Like every Republican president before him, President Trump was handed a strong and expanding economy. Instead of building on that foundation, his administration has pursued reckless and poorly conceived tariff policies that have increased costs for American businesses, disrupted supply chains, and discouraged investment. When businesses face uncertainty and higher input costs, they stop hiring — and the job numbers we are now seeing reflect exactly that outcome.
These are not abstract statistics. Weak job growth affects real people: workers who fear layoffs, families struggling with rising prices, and communities that depend on stable employment to thrive. The current trajectory of the economy should concern anyone who claims to support working Americans.
As my elected representative, I would like to know:
What do you intend to do to address the deteriorating labor market?
Do you support reexamining current tariff policies that are harming American businesses and workers?
What concrete steps are you taking to help restore strong, sustainable job growth?
Leadership requires accountability. The American people deserve an honest assessment of where the economy is headed and a clear plan to correct course before further damage is done.
I look forward to your response and hope you will take these concerns seriously.
