An open letter to State Governors & Legislatures

Put CPR In Schools & Save Lives

10 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

I want you to know that 350,000 people in our country experience a cardiac arrest each year. Their heart just stops and needs to be restarted for them to survive. The first few minutes are critical to survival and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) a is key. If someone’s heart stops and bystanders don’t know what to do, they will likely die, after all it takes 8 minutes or more for a paramedic to arrive and that can be too long. Many of us are not trained in CPR. Some countries, like Norway and Denmark offer the training in school and make it mandatory to obtain a driver’s license. Here is something you can do to help all those people survive. Enact legislation to make sure that CPR training available in all schools. Thank you.
