An open letter to the U.S. Supreme Court

Stop ICE tactics that defy due process rights

16 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

I am writing to implore you to reconsider your emergency ruling on Noem v. Vasquez Perdomo. Your ruling allows armed, often masked, ICE agents to resume enforcement tactics that include roaming the streets, intimidating anyone with brown skin, brown eyes, or an accent. Just trying to get through their day as a person of color, many Americans now feel they have to stop shopping at Home Depot or start carrying their US passport everywhere they go. And this kind of caution has not been enough for some: ICE enforcement already has led to egregious due process violations. While ICE is allowed to continue ignoring due process protections, American citizens will continue to live in fear rather than enjoying life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It is not right, and it is in your power to fix it. Please do.
