An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Stop Congressional Violent Rhetoric

13 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

The continued escalation of violent rhetoric and threats against elected officials endangers the core principles of democracy. In light of the tragic and appalling assassination of Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband, as well as the shooting of Senator John Hoffman and his wife, it is imperative that our nation's leaders rise above partisan divides. We call on all members of Congress to categorically denounce such acts of politically-motivated violence and work towards restoring civility in political discourse. Only through unity in rejecting extremism can we preserve the integrity of our democratic institutions and the safety of those who serve the public trust.
