The past months we have been subjected to countless videos and testimonies of our neighbors, our fellow American residents and citizens being kidnapped off the streets by masked ICE agents under the direction of the Trump administration. This violence has escalated in recent months as the Trump administration is now targeting judges, reporters, politicians, and elected government officials.
It is well past the time for you to stand up and take action to stop the Trump administration and the ICE gestapo. How many more of your constituents, the people you are sworn to represent and protect, have to be sent to a foreign torture prison before you decide that enough is enough?
History has a name for people who allowed the nazi party to rise to power because it was not “politically advantageous” to act against them. History remembers them as nazi sympathizers. My question to you is how will history remember you? Will you go down as a sympathizer who sat back, played party politics, followed the “do nothing” policies of people like Chuck Schumer, and ultimately facilitated the fascists takeover of the United States? Or will you be remembered as someone who took a stand and fought for freedom and for the safety of the people you represent?
I am demanding 4 specific actions from you:
1. Call for immediate cessation of all ICE activities.
2. Demand public oversight hearings of ICE actions with a focus on releasing all arrested and recovering all deported individuals.
3. Call for immediate impeachment of the Trump administration with legal consequences for all those involved in the willful violation of federal court orders and constitutional law.
4. Block all congressional proceedings until the above demands are met.
The Trump administration has shown time and time again that they do not care about the law or the American people. This kind of extremism must be stopped with force if America has any future as a democracy. Your people are watching you. History is watching you.
