Pres Trump, Could You Give Up Lying, Name-Calling, and Blame-Shifting for Lent?

As someone who claims the Bible is your favorite book and now sells them for profit, I have a sincere challenge for you this Lenten season: Could you give up lying, name-calling, and blame-shifting for 40 days?
Lent is a time of repentance, self-reflection, and sacrifice—a season when Christians strive to be more Christlike. Yet, day after day, you fill speeches, social media, and interviews with insults, deception, and endless grievances about how the world is unfair to you. At what point do you take responsibility for your own words and actions instead of blaming Joe Biden, the Justice Department, the media, immigrants, or whoever else you deem your enemy this week?
Does Biden live rent-free in your head? You can’t seem to go a day without obsessing over him. The man has flaws, as all leaders do, but you—who should be confident in your own record—can’t stop attacking, name-calling, and distorting the truth. Why? Is your need for constant victimhood so strong that you can’t imagine leading without a scapegoat?
As a businessman profiting from selling Bibles, perhaps it’s time you read what’s inside. Jesus did not teach vengeance, slander, or self-glorification. He taught humility, truth, and love for our enemies. Instead of embracing those values, you wield Christianity as a political weapon, bashing people over the head with faith while spewing hate, division, and falsehoods.
Mr. Trump, Lent is a season of renewal. Imagine the credibility you could regain if, for once, you stopped lying, name-calling, and blaming others. Imagine the respect you could earn if you truly lived by the faith you claim to hold dear.
Can you rise to this challenge, or will you keep proving that power, ego, and resentment matter more to you than Christ’s teachings?
I pray for you. But more than that, I pray for the millions who still believe you are a man of faith despite your words and actions proving otherwise.
