An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Budget Bill Judicial contempt language

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

The President is not a King.  We have a system of checks and balances to protect us from a branch of government that is abusing power.  The orders of the judiciary MUST be followed to preserve the rule of law.  Immediately strike language from the budget bill that would prohibit contempt charges, injunctions, or restraining orders from being issued.  If elected officials are going to ignore the law, Judges and the courts must be able to hold them accountable and issue consequences for such behaviors. NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW.
