An open letter to the U.S. Congress

WE THE PEOPLE SPOKE CLEARLY. LISTEN PLEASE

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

We the people took a poll on Saturday. And chances are, unless you’re just in dept-state denial, you know where America stands on the Trump administration. We don’t like what we’re seeing. We don’t like what they’re doing. We absolutely don’t like what they’re trying to do more of. People in the streets happily protesting was the image America needed to see. For those of us who doubted we could actually be physically moved to voice our displeasure, it was a validation that we were fearful of expecting. And from what I can discern, the Army made the parade about their history, their achievements, their capabilities, and their duty to defend America. That is commendable. And as it is intended to be. America has the finest fighting force on the planet. And they assured us their fealty is to the country, not a president. It’s just sad that Trump seemed so bored. Forced to listen to so many words not about him, and to actually maybe learn a little military history made him look like a kid who got socks instead of a Nintendo for his birthday. It also seems planning for the event, at least the part concerning visitors who wanted to see the parade, was laughable. Not a surprise given the generalized incompetence across the administration but sad for the kids and families who wanted to celebrate the day. Instead they found themselves shunted to wrong places, without access to much food, shade, or anything. But there seemed to be plenty of Trump merch. The people are speaking. Will you keep ignoring them? Or keep pretending that all is great? Because it is not. For instance… The latest Quinnipiac poll found voters oppose the Big Beautiful Bill by a margin of 53% (including 57% of independents). Republicans who rubber stamp this bill will be inflicting monstrous pain on Americans, growing the debt, and taking perhaps the worst political vote of their careers. Trump came to office promising to reduce inflation, lower costs, clamp down on energy prices, and even balance the budget. Ha. Instead, if Republicans allow him, he will continue to increase inflation, raise costs, ignite higher energy prices, and bust the budget. P.S. Senator Lee should ashamed of his on-line comments regarding the political assassinations in MN. A CA Senator gets thrown to the floor, zip-tied and threatened with censure for trying to ask a question. Will the same outrage be exhibited for a Senator making light of murder? Is there any GOP sanity left brave enough to at least take a stand on targeted murder not being a good thing? Lower and lower and lower y’all go…
