You can’t say we don’t have enough info thrown at us these days to keep us engaged. As we all watch the continued fruitful efforts of the January 6 committee, new details are revealed daily.
Just today, another Pence aide sat for a lengthy interview.
We see where this is going. Mr. Pence is intent on distancing himself from Trump, but doesn’t really want to show up himself so he sends his proxies. We’ll see if that’s enough.
In the meantime, DJT is now wondering why the 1/6 committee doesn’t investigate Mike Pence for NOT overturning the election.
You can’t make this stuff up.
Then we discover there was a second draft of an executive memo that would request DHS to go grab those voting machines. I guess just in case the Pentagon decided it wasn’t a good idea.
And not only was there a second draft, but the NYT has reported that Trump himself directed Rudy Giuliani to personally ask the DHS if it could obtain the voting machines.
Your guy doesn’t seem to care that his fingerprints are showing up everywhere. And he can’t even be bothered to try and wipe them away. Such is the life he has led.
I also see more talk about the 14th Amendment being used to stop him, and others who participated in working against the government they swore to serve, from ever seeking elected office again.
The disqualification clause of the 14th Amendment bans from future office any American elected official who swore an oath to uphold the Constitution but then "engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof."
How can it be that those who actively, vocally, persistently, and are still attempting to destroy the democracy they work for, can seriously be allowed try to do it again by running for re-election?
How can that possibly be?
