Please use state resources to rebuild safety nets

An article in the July 21 edition of The Boston Globe (“Families Navigate Tattered Safety Net”) includes information from the Law Reform Institute that says Massachusetts can mitigate the impact of federal cuts and restrictions to Medicaid, SNAP and ACH insurance plans - but it’ll require the state to invest in staff and IT. Please do this. We pay a massive proportion of the country’s taxes collected from states - I hope you’ll look at ways to invest in helping us maintain essential services that the federal government has chosen to strip away.
