Cox and Legislature Anti-Democracy- Do Not Destroy Checks and Balances

As a voting citizen of Utah I am repelled and disappointed by the aggressive power grab you and our state's Republican legislature are engaging in. I used to think you had convictions and courage on some level, and though I disagreed with you politically I respected you as a person. Has it ever occurred to you that if you have to work this hard to keep your party in power maybe they shouldn't have had that much power in the first place? We the people made our desires known with Proposition 4, and the legislature COMPLETELY ignored us. It required the judges to step in as a check and balance to be sure the will of the people wasn't disregarded, and the legislature still found the most narrow interpretation possible, and now you're passing a law to limit the abilities of the courts to provide that check and balance? It's anti-democracy, and against the principles of our national constitution. I am sickened by your participation in this farce, Governor Cox, and I hope you can't sleep at night wondering if selling your soul will be worth it.
