Save Social Security! Social Security is highly effective and efficient. The SSA has a 99.7% payment accuracy rate. And .5% of the SSA's budget goes to administrative costs. The rest goes to individual beneficiaries—retirees, survivors, and individuals with disabilities.
Don't let Trump and DOGE take this vital program away from our most vulnerable citizens. We pay into this system in good faith that our representatives will keep this program running, and not just running but keep it extremely accessible to those who need it the most. People who are confined to a hospital bed need to be able to talk to someone on the phone from the SSA. Hire those people back who answered their calls!!
Almost every server I know has never had an employer who provided retirement to their employees, and many of these people trusted that they could depend on SS that they paid into to at least help them get by in retirement. Without that, myself included, we will be destitute and living on the streets in our retirement years.
Raise the cap and make the rich pay! Save Social Security and make it solvent today. Do the job that we hired you to do.
