Stop Being Feckless

Whenever Democratic Party leaders speak, I don’t feel they are fighting against the fascists but trying to navigate the ‘currents of American politics.’ Not confronting the crime, corruption, and control they are exerting, but attempting to put up talking points so they can win the next election. I know winning the next election is imperative, but the choice must be more stark than Trump and his billionaires vs Schumer and his billionaires. Trump is literally committing the same abuses as King George. I am sick and tired of seeing congress people going to ICE facilities to inspect them on my behalf and when they get turned away, they file a lawsuit. How about every Democratic member of congress going to the ICE facility nearest to the capital and demanding to be let in. Not leaving until you get in. Bring your staff and surround the place. Get a judge to order an injunction on the spot. Stay overnight. Set up shifts so that a third of you are there 24 hours a day. Deny Johnson a quorum until you get in. Get someone with a torch to burn the hinges off the doors so you can get in. Make them arrest you, or beat you, or shoot you, or let you in. Give them no other choice. I want to see the Democratic leadership do this and a hundred other things to lead the resistance instead just marching in protests someone else arraigned or cheerleading from the sidelines. I want to see Democrats stand against them with the spirit, “with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.” This time demands nothing less.
