To this end, I strongly urge you to support and co-sponsor the following House bills: H.R.4611 - Candidate Voice Fraud Prohibition Act: This bill aims to protect the authenticity of candidate representations by prohibiting the distribution of materially deceptive AI-generated audio or visual media about candidates for federal office. Ensuring the authenticity of candidate voices and images is critical for informed voter decision-making. H.R.3044 - REAL Political Advertisements Act: This legislation addresses the use of materially deceptive AI-generated media in political advertisements.
