An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Object to January 6, 2025 Election Certification

36 so far! Help us get to 50 signers!

As your constituent, I implore you to object to the January 6 certification pursuant to Amendment 14, Section 3 of the Constitution of the United States of America. Reasons for objection: 1. You work for the people and are obligated to uphold your oath of office. 2. Failure to adhere to the self-executing provisions of Section 3 constitutes a violation of duty. 3. The January 6th Committee's Report and multiple legal findings conclude that Donald J. Trump played the leading role in inciting and encouraging the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol. 4. Donald J. Trump is constitutionally disqualified from holding office under the 14th Amendment due to his deliberate orchestration of a deadly insurrection aimed at obstructing the peaceful transfer of power on January 6, 2021. 5. Your objection to Donald J. Trump's electoral votes is not a violation of the peaceful transfer of power, but rather an ardent defense of it. 6. Your legacy will forever be tied to your action or inaction on January 6, 2025, and the ensuing effects for democracy. It is your duty to uphold the sworn oath to the Constitution and our country which you committed to on January 3, 2025, and we the people you represent support this objection pursuant to Amendment 14, Section 3 of the Constitution of the United States of America.
