The statements on Inama's signs align with core educational values and do not express personal opinions or partisan ideals. Enforcing a rigid interpretation of neutrality policies ultimately harms students by depriving them of an atmosphere conducive to learning. True neutrality means upholding human dignity and creating a space where diverse perspectives can be openly discussed and appreciated. I urge the district to reconsider this decision and work collaboratively with teachers to cultivate a classroom culture of mutual understanding. Our children deserve learning environments that celebrate inclusivity, not stifle it. An investment in inclusivity today lays the foundation for a more just and equitable society tomorrow.
