An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Vote no on budget cuts harming citizens' well-being

Betraying the People: Lawmakers Must Remember Their Oath to Serve All Citizens, Not the Wealthy Elite Lawmakers have a solemn obligation to prioritize the needs of all Americans they represent, not cater to the demands of powerful special interests and the ultra-wealthy elite. Their fundamental duty is to safeguard the well-being of every citizen, ensuring access to essential healthcare, nutritious food, and robust social safety nets that protect society's most vulnerable - children, the elderly, and people with disabilities. Any budget that favors lavish tax cuts for the opulent minority at the expense of investing in crucial programs supporting ordinary working families is an egregious betrayal of the people's trust and interests. They must vote no if the budget contains cuts to Medicaid, Medicare or SNAP.
