Ukraine must have voice in negotiations over its future

The capitulation to Putin's demands by removing Ukraine from negotiations is a senseless betrayal that undermines their sovereignty and democratic aspirations. As a critical ally resisting Russian aggression, excluding Ukraine from talks that directly impact their future is unacceptable. This move prioritizes appeasing an authoritarian regime over supporting a partner nation's self-determination. Doubling down on this appeasement risks emboldening further hostility from Russia and erosion of America's credibility on the global stage. Ukraine must have a voice in any negotiations regarding their territory and security to reach a durable resolution that upholds democratic principles and international norms. Sidelining them damages prospects for a stable, just peace and betrays our commitment to freedom and human rights.
