An open letter to the U.S. Congress

29 Days Later Adelita Grijalva Still Not Sworn In- Congress Must Demand Action

3 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

government is in full shutdown. Republicans have left D.C. and are refusing to negotiate to call the House back into session. And now, 29 days after winning her special election with 70% of the vote, Speaker Johnson still won’t swear Adelita Grijalva into the House of Representatives. The people of Southern Arizona have no elected representation at the moment because of Speaker Johnson's refusal to honor protocol and the constitutional obligation with which he has been entrusted. Out of respect for the nature of our representational government, I call you as my Congress person to demand Mike Johnson swear Adelita Grijalva in to her position immediately.
