Opposition to the Nomination of Russell Vought and His Project 2025 Agenda

His past actions, along with the dangerous policies outlined in Project 2025, make it clear that his vision for America is one of extreme partisanship, government overreach, and the dismantling of democratic norms. Project 2025, spearheaded by the Heritage Foundation and heavily influenced by Vought, outlines a blueprint for a drastic expansion of presidential power, the politicization of the civil service, and the rollback of critical rights and protections for millions of Americans. His proposals seek to gut federal agencies, undermine environmental regulations, restrict reproductive rights, and impose ideological loyalty tests on public servants. Such an agenda threatens the foundational principles of our democracy and does not reflect the values of the people of Wisconsin. Vought's record, both as Director of the Office of Management and Budget and as the architect of Project 2025, makes it clear that his priorities do not align with those of everyday Americans who seek fair governance, economic stability, and the protection of fundamental rights. I urge you to reject any nomination or appointment of Russell Vought and to take a strong stance against the extreme policies proposed under Project 2025.
