Why Does Trump Have $20 Billion for Argentina but Nothing for American Kids?
2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!
Enough is enough. Donald Trump is ready to hand $20 billion to Argentina, but somehow there’s not a dime left for American children. Not for their schools, not for their teachers, not for their future. Why should foreign governments get blank checks while America’s families are told to “tighten their belts”?
Trump’s budget is a full-blown attack on public education. It slashes:
• $12 billion from the Department of Education.
• $4.5 billion yanked straight from K–12 classrooms.
• After-school programs, summer learning, arts education, English learner support, migrant student aid, and community schools—gone.
• $3.8 billion already approved by Congress cut anyway.
• $6.2 billion Congress already appropriated is frozen—money our schools are owed but Trump’s administration refuses to release.
So here’s the reality: this administration can magically find $20 billion to prop up Argentina, but tells American parents and teachers that their kids must sit in overcrowded classrooms, use outdated textbooks, and lose access to music, art, mental health services, and basic support.
This is not fiscal responsibility. This is a betrayal. This is Trump turning his back on America’s children while pretending to “put America first.”
Congress must not stay silent. I demand that you:
1. Condemn this betrayal loudly and publicly.
2. Force the immediate release of funds already appropriated to public schools.
3. Restore and expand federal funding for K–12 education.
If Trump has $20 billion for Argentina, then he damn well has money for American kids. Congress must put children first—not foreign governments, not political games, and not Donald Trump’s reckless agenda.
