Reading today about the SCOTUS amicus brief filed by Republicans in Congress requesting support for the judgement against FDA approval of Mifepristone.
Co-sponsored by my House Rep. August Pfluger, and signed by one of my Senators, Ted Cruz.
This is yet another bad decision in a long list of bad decisions having to do with women’s rights. With women’s freedoms. With women’s bodies.
If you truly cared about things that hurt women, the list is long. And the list doesn’t include much past compassion from you guys.
This latest bad faith calculation doesn’t either. Your sanctimonious concern reeks. We don’t believe your motives. At all. We all see your ultimate goal.
If you think your decisions on this matter supersede the medical profession, the scientific knowledge involved with drug approval, and the rights of bodily autonomy for half your constituency, I suggest you reroute your career path.
Politicians have no place in any of these decisions.
