Despicable proposed changes to SNAP eligibility are a vile, heartless attack on the most vulnerable people in our society. Cruelly reclassifying children as young as 7 will rip vital food assistance from millions of poverty-stricken families already struggling desperately to keep their kids fed. These draconian, sadistic measures, along with viciously expanding work requirements to adults up to 64, represent a sickening escalation of the war on the poor that will undoubtedly exacerbate rampant hunger and punishing hardship. We cannot stand idly by as over 3 million impoverished adults with school-aged children, 1.4 million older adults nearing retirement, veterans, the homeless, and youth aged out of foster care lose their only means to afford food. These unconscionably cruel changes reek of malicious indifference, callously failing to account for areas plagued by lack of jobs and putting 1.6 million innocent people at grave risk of losing SNAP through absolutely no fault of their own. Instead of sadistically punishing those already living in desperate poverty, we must furiously oppose these vile proposed SNAP changes. We should be dramatically expanding access to vital programs like SNAP that provide an essential safety net, not gutting them. How dare these ideological extremists inflict such inhumane cruelty that will traumatically force even more children into food insecurity? I vehemently demand the complete rejection of these monstrous proposed SNAP changes and insist our policies urgently prioritize uplifting and supporting the most vulnerable, not further oppressing them into hunger and deprivation.
