The Senate Judiciary Committee oversees the Justice Department and the FBI. Well, it appears you all have some serious overseeing to do, considering that Emil Bove III with the authority of AG Pam Bondi, ordered Danielle Sassoon, US Attorney for the SDNY, to commit an unlawful act in dismissing an indictment against Eric Adams without any evidentiary or legal basis. It is not enough that there was a political basis in a quid pro quo. Bove even stated that main Justice had not examined the evidence or legal bases for the indictment. Both Bove and Bondi are subject to Bar disciplinary actions, censure or impeachment. The only attorneys with any integrity are the 7 (and counting) who resigned rather than obey a facially unlawful order. And just in case you didn’t know, “insubordination” is the failure or refusal to carry out “Lawful” orders of ones’s superiors. Look it up.
Call for public hearings on Bove and Bondi’s actions immediately! And make sure you call as witnesses everyone at the January 31 meeting plus Bondi. The public deserves to know what is done in its name.
