Pass a Clean Debt Ceiling bill NOW

As your constituent, I demand that you and your fellow Republicans pass a clean debt ceiling bill immediately. The US must not default on it's debts. This is not about future spending, it's about paying our bills for previously authorized spending. Default on our debt will downgrade our credit further. We have never recovered from the previous debt ceiling debacle of a decade ago when we came within a few days of defaulting. Doing that again or allowing a real default will result not only in a further downgrading of our credit, it will cause a decrease in the stock market, increased unemployment, and throw the world's economy into chaos. This is 100% not acceptable. Pass a clean debt ceiling bill now.
