STOP ICE - They Are Creating A Public Health Hazard

I want you to know that measles is now spreading in ICE detention facilities. Dilley Immigration Processing Center in Texas, one of the largest family detention facilities in the country. More than 1,200 people are currently held there, including more than 400 children. Did you know you can be infected with measles and contagious long before any rash occurs spreading the disease to others. Wait it gets worse, people transfer in and out of these facilities so quickly they will be unwittingly carrying the illness with them to other facilities. Medical care at these for profit facilities is notoriously poor and many facilities are saving money and have cut back on medical staff. Look, this is a public health crisis in the making and it is up to you to take action to protect lives. Stop The ICE Terror on our streets. Stop the inhumane detention infacilities with little or no medical care available leaving inmates to be exposed to preventable diseases with serious consequences.
