Keep Your Promises

I am writing to remind you of your commitment to protect American Workers, including workers and miners in Virginia, and to expand training and opportunities for those workers. To that end, I encourage you to vote to pass the PRO Act so that those workers you have sworn to support and protect have the power to come together and advocate for their own rights and benefits. The power of grassroots movements to bring about change is undeniable. The ability of workers to organize continues to be the best avenue to protect their rights. Remember, the working class ended child labor, instituted the 40 hour week and overtime pay, and made mining as safe as it is today through our organized struggle. Vote YES on the PRO Act and keep your promises to workers in the Commonwealth and across our nation.
