I am writing to ask a simple but urgent question: Is this administration truly pro-life, or is it merely pro-money? Recent policies suggest that the well-being of people, from birth to natural death, is not the priority. If we claim to value life, we must support policies that protect and sustain all people—not just the unborn.
A True Pro-Life America Would:
1. Ban the Death Penalty – Life must be protected at all stages, even for those who have committed crimes.
2. Ensure Maternal & Infant Healthcare – The U.S. has high maternal mortality, especially for women of color. A pro-life nation guarantees prenatal care, paid family leave, and affordable childcare.
3. End Food Insecurity – Cutting SNAP, WIC, and school meals while claiming to be pro-life is contradictory. No family should go hungry in a wealthy nation.
4. Expand Healthcare Access – Cutting Medicaid and blocking lower drug prices harms millions. A pro-life government makes healthcare affordable for all, not just the wealthy.
5. Invest in Public Health – Undermining the CDC and disease prevention has cost lives. A pro-life stance prioritizes medical research and vaccinations.
6. Stop War Profiteering & Support Global Stability – Cutting USAID programs while fueling conflict abroad increases suffering. A pro-life policy prioritizes peace and humanitarian aid.
Pro-Money, Not Pro-Life?
Instead of pursuing these life-affirming policies, this administration and Republican leadership have:
• Cut food and medical assistance, both domestically and abroad.
• Blocked Medicaid expansion and lower drug costs.
• Ignored maternal health while restricting reproductive rights.
• Reduced public health funding, making the country more vulnerable to disease.
• Continued and encouraged use of the death penalty.
These actions prioritize money and power over life. True pro-life policies protect people from cradle to grave. Opposing abortion while undermining healthcare, food security, and public health is not pro-life—it’s pro-birth and pro-money.
I urge you to support legislation that bans the death penalty, expands healthcare and food security, prioritizes public health, and invests in maternal and infant care. Will you stand for a consistent pro-life ethic that values all human life?
