An open letter to the U.S. Congress

What are you doing to reduce Gun Violence?

12 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

I am so sad for the families and friends of gun violence victims in this country. Charlie Kirk stood for misogyny, racism, islamophobia, and unrestricted gun rights. None of which I agree with. That doesn't mean that he or the children who were shot in their school today should have had to suffer the trauma of gun violence. I was horrified by the political assassination of Melissa Hortman, her husband and dog and the attempted assassination of John Hoffman and his wife. None of this would be happening if we had reasonable, rational gun legislation. Have the tragedies of this past few months changed your mind regarding requiring background checks for ALL gun sales, red flag laws, and funding ATF adequately so they can process background checks in a timely manner? I expect a reply detailing the actions you will be taking to address gun violence beyond just thoughts and prayers. “So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” -James 2:17
