End Corporate Ag Subsidies and Fund Real Food Systems in the Next Farm Bill
7 so far! Help us get to 10 signers!
I’m writing as a constituent who wants to see bold action in the upcoming Farm Bill and federal food policy. For too long, taxpayer dollars have been used to subsidize massive factory farms and corporate meat and dairy operations—driving overproduction, pollution, and public health crises, while smaller and more sustainable farms struggle to survive.
I urge you to support reforms that will:
• Cap subsidy payments and end handouts to the largest agribusinesses
• Eliminate USDA support for Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs)
• Redirect subsidies away from feed crops and toward fruits, vegetables, pulses, and regenerative farming
• Reform marketing checkoff programs that funnel money into meat and dairy ads while silencing alternatives
• Ensure transparency and accountability in who receives federal agricultural funds
We need a food system that supports working people, public health, and ecological resilience—not corporate profits.
Please stand up for rural communities, independent farmers, and a just transition to real food. The Farm Bill is one of the most important tools we have—please use it to build a future where our food system works for all of us.
