Oppose Perry Amendment / Save the Peace Corps

I’m writing today to urge you to oppose H.R. 8595, especially the Perry amendment (#137) that would eliminate all funding for the US Peace Corps. The Peace Corps is a low cost program that has numerous benefits. From the skill building and assistance in other countries, to the skill building of American volunteers, to the international goodwill and understanding that happens on both sides of the exchange. This program has done much to bring the world closer together. Much of what this administration is doing is tearing apart international alliances and understanding. Please do all you can to oppose this funding removal and instead fight to preserve the US Peace Corps in support of international understanding and unity.
