Automated filters triggered by these demands are also likely to over-censor lawful material. Instead of rushing through this flawed bill, Congress should focus on bolstering existing laws and improving procedures to properly address non-consensual intimate imagery in a manner that protects both victims and free speech. An unbounded censorship system like the one proposed benefits no one except those seeking to escape public scrutiny and accountability.
