Protect journalists: Impose Sanctions on Israel government for murder

The escalating conflict in the Israel-Gaza region has led to an alarming number of casualties among journalists and media workers. As documented by the Committee to Protect Journalists, 83 journalists and media workers have lost their lives since the war's onset on October 7, 2023. This includes professionals from Palestinian, Israeli, and Lebanese media outlets. There are also numerous reports of journalists being injured, missing, detained, or threatened. It is crucial to address this issue urgently. We must impose sanctions on Israel to pressure them into ensuring the safety and protection of journalists. This action is not just about penalizing, but about advocating for the fundamental right to freedom of the press, which is currently under severe threat.
