Enforce the EFTA: Stop the DOJ's Obstruction of the Epstein Files

The executive branch's handling of the Epstein files is no longer just a failure of transparency; it is a documented violation of statutory law and an active obstruction of Article I oversight. When the Department of Justice deliberately shields the identities of co-conspirators while withholding nearly 3 million pages of evidence, it signals a complete collapse of institutional neutrality. The DOJ is currently in violation of the Epstein Files Transparency Act (EFTA). Beyond withholding half of the required records—including critical FBI FD-302 witness interviews—the Department has instituted unconstitutional restrictions on congressional oversight. Forcing Members of Congress to review unredacted files on restricted computers, barring staff assistance, and actively monitoring the search queries of elected officials is an unacceptable assault on the separation of powers. This selectively protects powerful co-conspirators at the direct expense of survivors who are legally entitled to justice. I urge you to exercise your full Article I authority to take the following actions: 1. Demand that Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche immediately release the remaining 3 million pages of withheld documents, unredacted, in full compliance with the EFTA. 2. Force the DOJ to dismantle its restrictive review protocols, allowing secure, unmonitored access for Members of Congress and their designated staff on Capitol grounds. 3. Publicly support the ongoing DOJ Office of the Inspector General audit to ensure those responsible for withholding evidence and illegally redacting co-conspirator identities are held accountable. The Rule of Law requires that the EFTA be applied equally to all individuals, regardless of their political connections or wealth.
