An open letter to State Governors & Legislatures (Texas only)
No religious rules in public schools!

The proposed measures to introduce the Ten Commandments, prayer, and Bible reading into Texas classrooms violate the constitutional principle of separation of church and state. Public schools should remain secular spaces that are inclusive and welcoming to students of all faiths and beliefs. Imposing specific religious teachings and practices risks promoting one religion over others and marginalizing non-Christian students. Instead of prioritizing a particular religious doctrine, schools should focus on providing a well-rounded education that fosters critical thinking, mutual understanding, and respect for diversity. Upholding secular values in education ensures an equitable learning environment for all students.
