IT LOOKS BAD BECAUSE IT IS- PLEASE SAVE PALESTINE

Hi Staffer, I am deeply concerned about the mental state of our government. Politico shared an article on 11/21 explaining that some in the administration are concerned that any pause would "allow journalists broader access to Gaza and the opportunity to further illuminate the devastation there and turn public opinion on Israel." The only other place I'm aware of that restricts journalist access to control the narrative is North Korea. Did you know the most recent, complete report (2021) from CIRIGHTS, a human rights data project ran by researches from the University of Rhode Island, Binghamton University, and the University of Connecticut, shows some interesting stats for Israel? Israel was found to have made some restrictions on the freedoms of speech and of the press. They have the worst possible score for allowing human rights groups to operate by making it nearly impossible due to violence, shutdown of operations, and laws that block NGO access to help vulnerable people. They have also demonstrated what the report calls "brutality-based mass atrocities", i.e. "the widespread, direct, extrajudicial killing of non-combatant members of society by the state, or by non-state organizations working in concert with the state, resulting in fifty or more deaths in an annual period." What do you think the report will show for this year when Israel's track record is already this bad? And our government wants to continue supporting them? Meanwhile today, 11/22, approximately 14,000+ Palestinians dead in Gaza- their own health ministry has had to clarify, they are unable to properly count the dead due to the devastation & continued bombardments. We have no idea how many over this number have been murdered. We likely won't know for some time what the true death toll is. The U.S. is actively participating in this genocide. The whole world wants this to end but no one will do anything because no one wants to risk the ire of our government. I can't even blame them at this point- we're giving weapons, money, diplomatic protection, and who knows what else to Israel. Biden has made it clear he considers their "war" our own. Our government is insane- they have us on the path to WW3. Please participate in another staffer walkout. Do anything you can to make it clear the American people are done supporting the genocide of Palestinians. You're the only one who may even be listening to me at this point. Please, please do something. I wish I had enough space to share my usual demands for your boss, but it seems to be falling on deaf ears. For the sake of brevity, please tell your boss: we need an immediate ceasefire- a temporary truce or humanitarian pause is completely insufficient to address the humanitarian nightmare, we must cease all monetary, military, and other forms of aid given to Israel, and we need to instead direct all aid to occupied Palestine to help them recover from the horrors of this genocide.
