NO HIGHWAY IN NINE MILE CANYON

Do Not Ruin The Pristine Nature Of Nine Mile Canyon & Its Archeological Treasures!
This is the wording from a petition I've signed. We have enough roads filled with tanker trucks.
"I ask that the Bureau of Land Management deny the right-of-way application for the Wells Draw Road Amendment: Gate Canyon in Duchesne County, Utah."
"The approval of this project would enable the transport of crude oil and other extracted resources through Nine Mile Canyon. Traffic through Nine Mile Canyon would be increased exponentially: these so-called improvements to Gate Canyon Road would allow trucks to use Nine Mile to access Wellington, Utah rail load sites from Uintah Basin oil wells. The paving and widening of Gate Canyon would allow trucks to bypass Highways 191 and 6, saving a fraction of time and destroying cultural and natural resources."
"In order to protect archeological resources and a high-quality visitor experience, Gate Canyon must not be altered for use by extractive industry."
Do Not Ruin The Pristine Nature Of Nine Mile Canyon & Its Archeological Treasures
We are supposed to be the stewards of this world. All you politicians and corporations are doing is ignoring the mess that's already been made and working to make it worse.
Stay Out Of Nine Mile Canyon With Your Blacktop Serpent!
