An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Consider the words of a Founding Father

3 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

John Adams wrote: “Government is instituted for the common good: for the protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness of the people; and not for the profit, honor, or private interest of any one man, family, or class of men.” These are wise words. You would do well to apply them in what you do. In particular, Elon Musk was not elected and is committing acts that are undoubtedly unlawful. Get him out of government!! Second, make the billionaires pay their fair share instead of finding ways to cut vital services for veterans, the aged, the poor, and the disabled. Third, stop the false economy of cutting people and programs of importance to the citizens of this country. That should be done via careful deliberation, not wholesale elimination of long-standing programs without understanding the impacts. Finally, you should push back on the administration’s assault on the rule of law — the elimination of departments investigating abuse, firing of Inspector Generals, and attacks on judges. Represent your constituents and honor your oath of office. Grow a spine. Stop being a rubber stamp for destruction, and DO YOUR JOB!
