Oppose border wall construction in the Big Bend area

I urge you to oppose border wall construction in the Big Bend region of Texas. The area’s natural features serve as a deterrent for human border crossings. Border wall construction would fragment wildlife habitat and block important migratory pathways for wildlife. It would permanently alter sweeping desert vistas. The destruction of these would cause serious irreparable harm to the local economy. If illegal border crossings are at an all time low, there is no need to spend money and destroy this fragile ecosystem for the construction of a border wall.
