Use the ARP to Help the HouselessThe American Rescue Plan is bringing millions of dollars into our local community government. Please find a way to immediately invest that money deeply into our local communities and provide direct relief for our houseless community.  Studies have shown that the first steps to stabilizing life for an individual is by providing consistent shelter. Covid has exasperated conditions for people who have lost their homes or who are in jeopardy of losing their homes. We must do everything we can to keep people from losing their current residence and to place people into housing who are without.  Please use these extra funds and get creative with their use. Hawaii used the State of Emergency process to speed up building shelters. This process can also help work around zoning issues and possibly some of the other government red tape that may be held up due to Covid. Take a strong action now to help our houseless neighbors.
