An open letter to the U.S. Congress

No Rights Are Absolute

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

All rights have limitations to protect the safety and well-being of others. No right is absolute. As we have learned, again, we have not properly drawn a line between firearm safety and firearm rights. It’s as if we think than any protections for children will be too much of a burden for legal gun owners to shoulder. A significant majority of Americans, including gun owners, want mandatory background checks. We want safe firearm storage laws. We want red flag laws. We want violent offenders to not have open access to firearms. It’s time to make progress towards making firearm ownership safer. We can’t have 19 more babies killed at school. Be a leader, not a re-election follower. Support safer firearm ownership policies. Now.
