I am writing to you today to declare that I will NOT vote for any politician who does not support Palestinian liberation.
Upwards of 20,000 Palestinian civilians have likely been murdered, a war crime enabled by your unwavering support. The purposeful targeting of Palestinians through airstrikes, imposing an illegal siege, cutting off vital resources like food and medicine, bombing of hospitals, and forceful displacement must be stopped. By continuing their assault, Israel is murdering the people they’re required by international law to protect the rights of. Don’t believe me? It’s called Occupation Law: when a government entity occupies people’s land, they’re required to ensure the people’s basic rights are not infringed upon. Israel has occupied the entirety of historic Palestine since they used the U.S. as a pawn to win the 1967 War. Don’t know what I’m talking about? Look it up: The U.S.S. Liberty. Israel does not answer to any law or “alliance”. Despite it being explicitly illegal for you to fund crimes against humanity (ever heard of something called the “Leahy Law”?), Israel’s ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from their homeland is being carried out using your constituents’ tax dollars against our will. Even across party lines, 2/3 of American voters support a ceasefire. You choose to defy your own laws and your people’s will in favor of genocide?
I demand that you find your humanity. Otherwise, you will find that you’re unable to hold public office ever again.
