An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Block the NDAA and Strip the SAVE Act from the Budget Reconciliation Bill

384 so far! Help us get to 500 signers!

Vote no on the NDAA and strip the SAVE Act funding from the $95 billion reconciliation package. The NDAA passed 216-212 with almost no bipartisan support, and for good reason — it entangles U.S. forces further in a war that has already killed 18 service members, injured nearly 500 more, and cost taxpayers $37.5 billion. Military integration with Israel in this conflict is not something Congress should be rubber-stamping in a bill this rushed and this narrow. The reconciliation package is worse. Burying over $70 billion in Iran war funding and money to implement the SAVE Act into a budget bill specifically designed to bypass the Senate's 60-vote threshold is a way of avoiding accountability, not governing. The SAVE Act is an election overhaul that should face full Senate debate, not get quietly funded through reconciliation. Senate Democrats held the line before — hold it again. Block both.
